It heats and processes dry electrode powders and binders, thencalenders them through counter-rotating rolls. Hydraulic pressureforms a uniform micron-thickness film, which is then secondarilylaminated onto copper or aluminum foil. The resulting double-layer filmis rewound into complete battery electrodes.
